In conjunction with Upstate New York Transplant Services, Center One, LLC held its second blood drive on November 4, 2011. Our commitment to WNY was evident by the donors who presented to donate!! These donations will potentially save numerous lives in our community.

Make a Wish

Larry Norton and his team at 97 Rock completed their 17th annual 28 hour radio-thon to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Metro and Western New York. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Donations are still being tallied, but are in excess of $150,000.00 this year! Listeners of 97 Rock could request a pay-per-play song, or bid on several different auction items, sports packages, etc.
The telethon was slated to end at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. However, the employees at Center One felt strongly that we could assist this amazing organization. Why shut the phones off at 10:00? Make-A-Wish agreed and graciously let us become part of this Buffalo tradition. At 10:00 a.m. we were able to start taking calls on their behalf. By continuing efforts, Center One was able to secure nearly an additional $8,000.00! The average cost of a wish!
Center One stands behind the Western New York Community, not only in continuing to grow and offer employment opportunities in this area, but by supporting local charities. I am truly honored to be a part of this group of amazing individuals, without whom this would not have been possible:
Special thanks to:
Tina Bremiller | Betty MacLeod | Sharon Dixon |
Dave Geonvese – who graciously gave up his training space for this event, worked diligently with Make-A-Wish to create procedures for accepting donations and trained all of our volunteers! THANKS DAVE!
Jerry Noller – The phone guy! Jerry made sure that all telephone systems were compatible and that we would be ready to accept calls without a glitche! THANKS JERRY!!!
A wish is granted every 40 minutes!
